Help & Documentation
Learn how to look up domain WHOIS information, registration history, sales records and online valuation on 6CHA.
01How to look up WHOIS information?
Enter a full domain (e.g. example.com) in the search box and click Search. The domain page shows the registrar, creation and expiry dates, domain status, name servers, registrant country and DNSSEC.
Registration data is queried in real time via public RDAP/WHOIS protocols and cached for 24 hours. Click Refresh on the domain page to fetch the latest data immediately.
02How do I read registration history?
The Registration History section lists snapshots in reverse chronological order. A new snapshot is recorded whenever the registrar, expiry date or domain status changes.
The longer a domain has been tracked, the more complete its history timeline becomes.
03How to query domain sales?
Visit the Sales page to filter by TLD, price range and keyword, and sort by date or price. A domain's own sale records are shown on its detail page.
Sales data is compiled from public reports and is for market reference only.
04How is the valuation calculated?
The model combines TLD weight, length, hyphens and digits, industry keywords, dictionary words, pinyin, brandability, domain age and the median of comparable sales in the same TLD and length.
It outputs a 0-100 score, an estimated value range and a confidence level. Results are for reference only and not investment advice.
05Which TLDs are supported?
Mainstream TLDs via RDAP (e.g. .com, .net, .org, .io, .ai) and TLDs via WHOIS (e.g. .cn). If a TLD is unsupported, a notice is shown.
06Is there an open API?
Basic JSON APIs are available:
/api/domain/:name— full domain report/api/valuation/:name— valuation result/api/sales— sales records/api/stats— site statistics
Please use them reasonably and avoid high-frequency requests.
